In December, the new Chemicals Act entered into force. To generalise, the purpose of the Chemicals Act is to ensure safety in handling chemicals. The Labour Inspectorate to organise a movie night on the work environment and XVII Health at Work Day

The movie night and the Health at Work Day will be organised by the Labour Inspectorate in conjunction with the Estonian coordination centre of EU-OSHA. The event is free to all participants, however, advance registration is required. The study of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) indicates that in Estonia and Europe as a whole the most widespread danger factors at workplaces are psychosocial and musculoskeletal. Changes in the reception hours of the Labour Inspectorate

In the summer months, the Labour Inspectorate will be receiving customers in the five largest towns: Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Narva, and Jõhvi. No customers will be received at the advisory offices. Harassment at work is a hidden nevertheless a common problem in Estonia

The seminars are carried out by Merle Tambur, a consultant, whose Doctoral thesis was „Harassment at Work in Estonian organizations: spread and causes."
